Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan refuses to ignore the speculations about her love for family. The actress has come out turning red on rumours which stating that she is more concerned about her career than family.

Ash is really angry with the media for attributing quotes like “My career is more important to me than my family”, or “If I want to remain in the film industry then I need to stay fit”.

Criticizing the comments Aishwarya said, “I am not just a star. I am also a daughter, a wife, a daughter-in-law and a symbol of true Indian tradition. I have always believed and practiced values that govern our society.”

Previously Aishwarya preferred to remain silent. Even when she was married off to a tree, she chose not to speak because she truly felt better sense would prevail. However, she finally gave away with her silence and has come out red hot at the media.

Underworld targets Bollywood’s top celebs

Ronnie Screwala is now the newest target of underworld extortion after a number of Bollywood celebs have confessed to being threatened. The dark criminal world of Mumbai has been haunting Bollywood for ages, but recently the bigger name of the industry is been targeted.

On July 11, six people, alleged associates of Pujari broke into UTV’s office seeking for Screwala. Prior to this, Rakesh Roshan was shot at while leaving from his office at Santa Cruz on January 21, 2000. During the release of ‘Krrish’, Roshan’s anti-piracy campaign gave another reason to underworld for extortion; Prita Zinta was also demanded for an amount of 50 lakhs for a film named ‘Chori Chori Chupke Chupke’ in 2000.

Shahrukh Khan turned hostile to Bharat Shah case but he broke his silence in 2002. In 1997-98 Chotta Shakeel had compelled him to work to which SRK sort of gave a nod. Things somehow did not work and he later got threatening calls from Abu Salem himself.

Aishwarya’s coversation with Salman made it clear that Salman would threaten her in the name of underworld don. Central forensic report with the help of the samples of their respective voices through audiocassettes proved Salman had connections with underworld.

Apart from these top-notch stars, there were several others actors like Govinda, Raj Kumar Santoshi, Himesh Reshamiya, Abbas-Mustan and Mahesh Manjrekar who have become the soft-targets of extortion by underworld dons.

With her drop-dead gorgeous looks and a smile that can launch a thousand ships, Aish can melt many hearts. So much is the lady glorified and hyped, that her accomplishments have started to itch her better half Abhishek Bachchan.

Aishwarya apparently ignited a tinge of jealous in her hubby as she went to act with his favourite celebrity Steve Martin in ‘Pink Panther 2’.

Fighting to emerge out of his daddy dearest Amitabh Bachchan’s shadow and internationally renowned globe-totting wife Aishwarya the third ace of the Bachchan Parivaar has gone on record to confess that he is envious of his wife.

"We were at the premiere of ‘Pink Panther 2’ and it was great fun. It`s a hilarious film. Steve Martin is a genius. He is someone I have been idolising when I was growing up. And Ash gets the opportunity to work with the likes of Steve Martin and Jeremy Irons! I am very jealous of Ash. "said Abhishek

Star studded Live Earth India concert to rock Mumbai

Mumbai, Hong Kong and Los Angeles will simultaneously experience a blast of music and entertainment as the Live Earth India concert is staged on December 7th.

In Mumbai, The Live Earth spokesperson, Amitabh Bachchan will take the stage along with a host of celebrities. Headliners include Grammy-winner Bon Jovi, actress Aishwarya Rai , Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu, Shiamak Davar, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Hard Kaur, Vishal-Shekhar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sunidhi Chauhan], Sonu Nigam, Shaan and Anoushka Shankar.

Live Earth India will highlight personal and policy solutions to the climate crisis, offer support for India’s important environmental issues and causes, and provide a platform for India to solidify its leadership role on climate issues.

Aishwarya, the brand ambassadress of Longines, was in Kolkata for the press conference of Longines Sports Watch collection.She also walked the ramp showcasing the new collection of HydroConquest watches for the first time in Kolkata.

'This is the first time that she walked the ramp in Kolkata. The city has always been special for her and her family.And since it's the auspicious time of Durga Puja she had requested Longines to launch their collection in Kolkata first..The next destination is Delhi. On her experience of walking the ramp after so many years, Aishwarya said it felt like 'the old days are back'.

Aishwarya has just finished shooting for Shankar's 'Robot' that stars Rajnikant in the male lead. She is to soon start shooting for Mani Ratnam's 'Ravana' with Abhishek

Salman-Aish to Reunite on the Silver Screen.

Salman Khan may be a sordid chapter in the life of Aishwarya Rai but he is ready to bury the past and share screen space with her in an upcoming project.

Abhishek Bachchan may now be the real life heartthrob of Aishwarya but the couple that set the screen on fire is the Salman Khan- Aishwarya Rai Jodi. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was the last time the pair scorched the screen with their on screen chemistry.

Now Aishwarya Rai is Mrs Abhishek Bachchan and Salman Khan is ready to forgive his ex-flame. He has agreed to share screen space with her in an upcoming movie to be directed by Priyadarshan.However it is not a full-fledged romantic pairing for the duo in the movie. Salman Khan is just doing a cameo. Apparently Salman believes in taking small steps

Nevertheless the two ex-lovers have a few scenes together and this is the opportunity for them to forgive and forget and move on.

Junior Bachchans to repeat the magic of Senior Bachchans in Abhimaan-2

After Hrishikesh Mukherjee made the beautiful Amitabh-Jaya Bachchan starrer Abhimaan, ace cinematographer Rajiv Menon hopes to cast Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a film loosely based on the 1973 hit.

"Yes, Rajiv Menon, who is very close to me and Aishwarya, has narrated a script that is inspired by Abhimaan," Abhishek confirms. "It's not an exact remake. We are now planning to finalise the details."

Abhimaan, which dealt with a husband's increasing jealously when his singer wife's success overshadows his own singing career, is also remembered for the melodious soundtrack composed by S D Burman.

Menon had earlier directed Ash in the Tamil love saga Kandukondein Kandukondein (2000), which also starred Mammothy and Tabu. The film won a lot of rave reviews. Besides, Menon recently worked with both Abhishek and Ash in Mani Ratnam's hit Guru.

Let's wait and see if the younger Bachchans can repeat the magic the senior Bachchans created in Abhimaan.
