Star studded Live Earth India concert to rock Mumbai

Mumbai, Hong Kong and Los Angeles will simultaneously experience a blast of music and entertainment as the Live Earth India concert is staged on December 7th.

In Mumbai, The Live Earth spokesperson, Amitabh Bachchan will take the stage along with a host of celebrities. Headliners include Grammy-winner Bon Jovi, actress Aishwarya Rai , Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu, Shiamak Davar, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Hard Kaur, Vishal-Shekhar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sunidhi Chauhan], Sonu Nigam, Shaan and Anoushka Shankar.

Live Earth India will highlight personal and policy solutions to the climate crisis, offer support for India’s important environmental issues and causes, and provide a platform for India to solidify its leadership role on climate issues.

Produced globally by Control Room and in partnership with Wizcraft International Entertainment, the concert will reach millions of viewers worldwide through three of Star’s channels - Star Plus in India, UK and the Middle East, Star World in South East Asia, Hong Kong and India and Channel V in India.

Also, two of the most influential proponents of quick, decisive action against global warming will give messages and appearances: former US Vice President Al Gore and IPCC Chairman and Director General TERI India, Dr Rajendra K Pachauri.

Bipasha basu fled from Kashmir

Bipasha Basu fled from the the Kashmir where she was shooting for the movie Lamhaa without informing anyone.

This incident shocked the entire cast and crew as Bipasha was supposed to shoot with Sanjay Dutt who has just arrived in Srinagar to shoot the sequence. The movie is being directed by Rahul Dholakia and also stars Kunak Kapoor and Shernaz Patel.

Producer Bunty Walia was amazed how Bipasha could have managed to pack her luggage in just 15 minutes if it was not pre planned. Bunty expressed hope that Bipasha will soon join them in Manali for the second leg of the shoot.

Incidentally only a few days back a policeman had proposed Bipasha for marriage on the sets of the movie.

Bipasa Basu in trouble in a Shoot in Srinagar

All precautions were taken for the shooting of producer Bunty Walia’s film Lamha in Srinagar but still there serious trouble on the sets. The movie is a first of sorts to be shot in post insurgency Kashmir.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, the movie’s shooting ran into trouble with protesting mobs. The mob was protesting the shooting involving Bipasha Basu starring as a Kashmiri girl. Even the Police force responsible was rendered ineffectual against the mob.

No one was injured but lead actress Bipasha Basu had to run for cover and exit the scene. This was lesson enough for the filmmakers. They had intended to shoot the movie completely in Kashmir but now have abandoned the idea.

The film is supposed to present a realistic look of the state with Guns and militancy etc. This was the reason that the locals were protesting. Soon after Dholakia called a press conference in which he made clear his intentions of making the picture and his commitment to portray the state and its people in the right light. Now majority of the pic will be shot in a Mumbai studio.

John has a Special waly of Loving Bipasa

Bengal bombshell Bipasha Basu has a great craving for designer bags and knowing her fascination for bags boyfriend John Abraham gifted her one worth Rs $3250 (Rs 1.5 lakh). For quite sometime, Bips has been setting her eyes for brown-and-gold Gucci Babouska Medium Boston and John gifted her the same bag.

Bipasha, who got back from a 10-day holiday in USA with John to walk the ramp for Maheka Mirpuri says, "When I went to Philadelphia and then New York with him, I would covet the Babouska every time I would walk into a store. But ever since I started renovating my Bandra flat, I save every rupee as I want to spend it judiciously on furnishings and decorations. I don't splurge on other things but focus on home. I think John saw me looking longingly at the bag and one day he just went and bought it for me! I was thrilled! It's a very exciting gift and something I really wanted."
