Jeniffer Lopez suffers losses

Popstar Jeniffer Lopez's fashion empire is running into losses due to the economic recession as it has put fresh collections on hold.

The `Waiting for Tonight` hitmaker has banked million from merchandising and brand deals. She launched the `Sweetfac`e` range in 2005 as a street wear spin-off of her
original JLO clothing collection but all this seems to be a thing of the past now, Contactmusic reported.

Lopez`s `Sweetface` clothing line will cease once the spring collection hits stores.

"In light of new company strategies, we have decided to put the Sweetface line on hiatus while we prepare to reintroduce the brand in the near future with new messaging points and an entirely new fashion point of view," a statement from the fashion house said.

Lopez is not the only celebrity designer to feel the pinch in tough economic times, singer/actress Mandy Moore`s `Mblem` and `The Hill`s star Lauren Conrad`s lines are also
currently on hiatus.

Sonakshi says yes to Salman Khan

After much speculations regarding Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi joining the Bollywood bandwagon, the star kid has finally accepted to act opposite Salman Khan in a flick produced by Arbaaz Khan.

Sonakshi had earlier declined down the offer as she was keen on being a fashion designer. Yet Salman kept asking the girl and finally she gave in!

Salman was impressed when he saw Sonakshi walk the ramp during a fashion week. After the show, Salman immediately went up to her and asked her to star opposite him in Arbaaz’s film. Sonakshi did not immediately take up the offer. But Salman convinced her.Salman was completely awed by Sonakshi slimmer looks and kept pursuing her parents until they finally yielded.

Arbaaz’s film is being directed by Abhinav. It is expected to hit the floors within a couple of months.
